Your #1 FAN!!!!!1!!11!one!

Twitter, Celebrities & Fandom.

Let's just jump straight into the deep end with this: I love Taylor Swift.

She is talented, beautiful & she has an amazing voice. I don't have an opinion about her personality because unfortunately for me, I don't know her. Now I understand if her music ain't your thing. It is definitely my thing, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion & I respect that.

But this blog is not about how much I like Taylor Swift. It's about the crazy fans...ok and a little bit about Taylor Swift.

It's never been acceptable to bully and abuse people at school, work or... well...its safe to say its never acceptable to abuse or harass anyone, ever.
So what is different about celebrities? Their wealth? Their fame? I've been told it just comes with being famous. To me that's like saying to be treated like shit just comes with being gay. We are better than that.

Do not threaten & harass celebrities about their personal life and that includes emotionally blackmailing them with threats of self harm to try & get a response.

What kind of fandom is that? What response were you expecting... something like..

"Oh no, please don't. Infact, you can move in with us, live in the pool house, fall in love with the next door neighbor, get into UCLA & live happily ever after"

(because that's how i like to pretend the story ends...)

& i know some of the comments being made are just internet trolls, competing over who can be the most offensive but I am talking about the actual crazy fans.

I am aware that during the emotional roller coaster of adolescence, we say things we regret, but it seems likes fans are behaving less like a "#1 fan" & are now bordering on "Single White Female" or Chip from "The Cable Guy" & worst of all....

....you're not even getting the free Cable TV.

Whether you are 'tweeting with intent' or just venting through an empty worded emotional outburst, there's still no reason to send it to the actual celebrity. Why would they care what you think about their personal life?

If you bully someone for having an opinion, or singing it, or bully someone because you are a jealous fan of another celebrity, at the end of the day all you get out of it is......nothing, actually. Most celebrities just ignore you, because it's not worth acknowledging.
I'm sure some celebrities read the abuse & have a few chuckles over it, whilst they chill out in the pool of their Million dollar mansions.

I think it's ironic that people who are harassing and bullying celebrities about their personal lives are saying "I would never be with Taylor Swift, she might write a song about me"
There is already a song about you...

it currently has 53 million 700 thousand views on youtube.
...and best of all, it's Taylor Swift.

I'd just like to add, that this post took me a lot longer to write than i thought.... I kept stopping to listen to Taylor Swift.
